About the Role

We're looking for biology experts to help train and improve some of the world's most advanced AI models. If you have a Masters in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field — your knowledge is exactly what's needed to make AI smarter, more accurate, and more scientifically rigorous.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role working alongside leading AI research labs. You'll apply your scientific expertise to real problems that directly shape how AI reasons through complex biology topics.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
  • Design challenging, graduate-level biology questions to benchmark AI performance
  • Develop clear, rigorous, step-by-step solutions that test AI reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy and logical quality
  • Collaborate with researchers to refine evaluation frameworks across a range of biology topics — from undergraduate fundamentals to advanced Masters-level concepts
  • Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI model outputs
Who You Are
  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Masters degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced biology domains
  • Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
  • Detail-oriented with a rigorous approach to logic and accuracy
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
  • No prior AI experience required — we'll set you up for success
Nice to Have
  • Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or research benchmarking
  • Familiarity with large language models or AI systems
  • Background in molecular biology, genetics, physiology, or biochemistry
Why Join Us
  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top research labs shaping the future of science and technology
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, from anywhere
  • Freelance perks: high autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Make a real impact — your expertise helps AI reason more accurately across biology and life sciences
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
